LEAF (Learning about Ecosystems and Forests) Autumn Challenge! This autumn break, we're encouraging all our families to get outdoors, connect with nature and discover more about the wonderful natural world around us. The LEAF Autumn Challenge invites children and their families to complete up to five simple mini-activities with friends and family. Each activity encourages children to explore, observe and talk about the nature they discover, helping them to develop a greater appreciation of the environment and the wildlife around them. Your child will bring home their LEAF Autumn Challenge checklist today! We encourage you to get outdoors together and complete as many of the activities as you can over the autumn break. How to take part: 🍁 Get outdoors and enjoy nature together this autumn. 🌿 Have a go at the five mini-activities on the checklist. Tick off each activity as you complete it. 📸 Take photos of your adventures and send them into school to share what you have discovered! Children who complete the LEAF Autumn Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement to celebrate their efforts. We would love as many Manor Park families as possible to take part. Whether you explore your garden, visit a local park, go for a woodland walk or simply stop to observe the wildlife on your doorstep, every little adventure counts! Happy exploring! #ManorParkSuperStars #LoveForGod #LoveForEachOther #LoveForLearning #ManorParkEcoWarriors

Key Stage 2 took part in a fascinating live lesson from the British Museum all about the Bayeux Tapestry. The children showed what super Historians they were by asking some great questions and engaging with enthusiasm. #ManorParkSuperStars #LoveForEachOther #LoveForLearning #ManorParkHistorians

It was a pleasure to welcome Jim Beckett, author of Buzz Sausage Wolf, to Manor Park today! Children in Year 1 and Year 2 were delighted to hear tales of Buzz and Trilby and meet Ollie the orangutan. They even created their own story about an ice-cream eating ferret in a ferry in the clouds, which Jim turned into a song and sang with his ukulele! See if they can tell you about it! Thank you to Jim for his amazing visit and for signing so many books. Thank you also to Teasel and Skylark, our local independent bookshop, for supplying the books. #ManorParkSuperStars #LoveForEachOther #ManorParkReaders #LoveForReading Jim Beckett Teasel & Skylark
