Beech Class in Year 4 have started their next block subject - SCIENCE: Changes in state
Today, we compared the different states: solids, liquids and gases.
The children practised being particles, moving between each state. They became one big solid, all tightly packed together, and only changed shape if a force was applied. They became a liquid by moving around more freely within the 'blue cup'. Finally, they became a gas by spreading out across the whole room.
Afterwards, we discussed many different objects and grouped them into each state. Good job, scientists! 👨🔬👩🔬
Children in year 4 have been discovering Oobleck; a mixture of cornflour and water that acts like a liquid and a solid. It’s been great fun!
