We learnt that evergreen trees keep their leaves all year. Their leaves are usually thicker and shinier as they need protection against the winter weather. We looked carefully at a variety of different leaves and sorted them into categories. Maybe if you are on a walk this weekend, keep a look at for different leaves and try and work out if the tree it is growing on is evergreen or deciduous.
